How I ended up in Alforja
It was 2019. I was planning a road trip through the eastern United States, and one of my Florida bookings was cancelled at short notice by the host. I needed somewhere fast and booked with a woman who lived there with her son — Groveland, Florida.
One night turned into six weeks. One booking turned into a friendship. I came back in the autumn and stayed three months.
Over the years we got to know each other better. Whenever she visited her parents in Alforja, Catalonia, I came along. That's how I got to know this region — the Prades mountains, the Mediterranean half an hour away, the culture, the light, the stillness between the olive groves.
I fell in love. With the region.
In 2021 my friend moved back to Alforja. In early 2023 I bought Mas Luna. Since June 1st 2023 I've been living here — with Nala, the garden, the pool, the mountains right outside the door.
